Osceola & SRC triangular at Meridian

DAYKIN - Tuesday night was a triangular at Meridian with Osceola, Shelby-Rising City and Meridian. First was Meridian and Shelby-Rising City. Meridian won in 2 sets, 25-18 and 25-16. Next was county teams Osceola vs. Shelby-Rising City. The Huskies took the first set 25-20.

Osceola Loses to Howells-Dodge

OSCEOLA – Osceola (2-4) hosted the Howells-Dodge Jaguars (5-1) on Friday. They knew it would be a tough game and lost 50-6.Osceola got the ball first. They got one first down, but ended up punting. Howells-Dodge got the ball and soon ran it in for a touchdown. The Jaguars got the 6-0 early lead.

Osceola VB Goes 3-4 For the Week

Osceola won three games and lost four in a busy volleyball week.Tuesday night they lost to number 2 BDS in two sets, 25-10 and 25-16. Later that night, they won over East Butler in two sets 25-11 and 25-17.Thursday they went to Central City to face Newman Grove/St.

Archangels Catholic Tames Bulldogs 56-14

OSCEOLA – From the first play of the game, Archangels Catholic took advantage of every Osceola miscue and breakdown, returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown and then recovering a fumble and taking it to the end zone.

Slammers End Season with Loss to York

YORK – During losses this season, the Polk County Slammers have made an average of three errors per game and in Class B-8 sub-district semifinal play Monday afternoon the trend continued to the team’s detriment.

Bulldogs Go 5-1 for the Week

Osceola volleyball had a busy week with a triangular Tuesday in McCool Junction, game in Hampton Thursday and tournament in Pleasanton on Saturday. They did well, only losing to Southern Valley who currently has an 11-4 record. Osceola moves to 10-1.

Dawgs Win With Safety Over Knights

ELMWOOD – Osceola made the jaunt to Elmwood to take on Elmwood-Murdock. Both teams were 1-1 going into the game. It was a good matchup, tied several times, but the Dawgs came out with the win with a last quarter safety by senior Braxton Mestl to win 32-30.

Lady Dawgs Remain Undefeated

OSCEOLA – The Bulldogs hosted Cedar Bluffs on Tuesday and Mead on Thursday. They remain undefeated as they won both matches, in four sets and three sets respectively.Against Cedar Bluffs, the Bulldogs started out neck and neck with the Wildcats, but then started pulling ahead.

Osceola Adds One More Win

GENOA – The Lady Bulldogs had just one game this week facing the Twin River Titans on their home court. After four sets, the Bulldogs came out with the win.The first set started out close, and then Osceola started to pull away with the lead.
