Cougars Win Subdistrict, Bulldogs Earn Wildcard

Osceola 66, St. Francis 63 LINCOLN — The old saying, the third times a charm, didn’t apply to the Osceola Bulldogs this past week as for the third straight year they would meet the Parkview Christian Patriots in the subdistrict finals and once again would fall to them, 71-58.
Osceola finishes the season with a record of 12-12 and is the D2-1 District Final runner-up.

Bulldogs fall to Defending State Champs

FALLS CITY — What a difference a year makes. Osceola knew they had an uphill battle on Friday in the D2-1 District Final at Sacred Heart. Taking on the defending Class D2 State Champions on their home court with a trip to Lincoln on the line is a tall order for any team.

Osceola Pulls Out the Win in First Subdistrict Game

LINCOLN — Osceola was placed in a tough subdistrict by the NSAA. As it is, they had to deal the hand they were dealt, even if it didn’t seem right or “fair.”  First up was Humphrey St. Francis, ranked 12th by points according to the NSAA.

8 Area Wrestlers Return with Medals

OMAHA — Polk County was well-represented at the CHI Health Center Arena in Omaha. County schools sent 12 wrestlers and eight found themselves on the medal stand on Saturday.   SRC: Justin Knoll (160 pounds) would first wrestle Varner of Hemingford and pinned him in 3:13.

Bulldogs Wrap Regular Season with Win over Storm

POLK — The Osceola Bulldogs closed out their regular season with a trip to Polk to take on the High Plains Storm and came back with a 63-41 victory, raising their record to 21-2 and extended their winning streak to 14 games.

Bulldogs ‘Survive and Advance’ with Overtime win over Storm

OSCEOLA — It’s win-or-go-home and neither team was finished after four quarters. Osceola defeated High Plains 43-38 in overtime on Thursday to claim the D2-3 Subdistrict Title. The Bulldogs jumped out to a fast start, opening the game on a 10-0 run.

Boys Basketball Subdistrict Opponents Announced

The boys subdistrict pairings were released earlier this week and area teams have begun their journey to Lincoln. Osceola has the hardest path forward in the D2-3 Subdistrict, with four teams with winning records in the field.

Lady Bulldogs Advance to Subdistrict Final

The Lady Bulldogs got the honor of hosting their subdistrict and playing on their home court Tuesday night against the Mead Raiders. They “took a bit to get going” according to Coach Webster, but they did, fueled by a couple baskets from Emma Recker and a couple threes from Emersyn Prososki.
