Titans drop pair of games heading into districts

GENOA — The Titans took on two of the state’s top Class C teams last week ahead of Thursday’s District C-3 game.Twin River dropped a road game to Class C No. 3 Adams Central, 7-0, on Wednesday. The Titans fell to Class C No. 1 Central City/ Centura, 10-4, on Thursday.

Lady Bulldogs First, Lady Huskies Fourth in Osceola

OSCEOLA- Many athletes were gone for state FFA convention, but track went on as scheduled in Osceola.The Osceola girls came in first with 127 points, followed by Archangels Catholic with 106, Nebraska Lutheran at 83 and Shelby-Rising City with 77.

Osceola Girls First at Sutton

SUTTON – Osceola and Shelby- Rising City had their first official outside track meet at Sutton on Tuesday. The Osceola girls came home first with 108 points, ahead of second place by three points (which was Hastings St. Cecelia). The Lady Huskies came in ninth out of eleven teams with 28 points.

Lady Bulldogs Eye the Prize

Osceola track has their largest number of students participating with 37 total, 16 boys and 21 girls. Coach Ericson is excited for another season.GIRLS:The Lady Bulldogs have high hopes and big goals this year. They return with leadership, experience and talent.

How Did Janna Roberts Start in PoleVaulting?

OSCEOLA - You may know Janna Roberts as a three-sport athlete at Osceola. She is active as the libero in volleyball, a guard in basketball and running and pole vault in track. In addition, she also tumbles and cheers with the Dazzlers, volunteers and attends her church and is an honor roll student.

Osceola Boys Win Over Deshler and Lose Nail-Biter to Mustangs

McCOOL JUNCTION – Osceola’s subdistrict took them to McCool to face Deshler, who they beat 65-55 on Tuesday. Thursday they faced McCool Junction and lost after a hard-fought game.Osceola 65, Deshler 55Deshler started out hot, but Osceola did force a couple turnovers. Early on it was 6-4 Deshler.

Lady Storm Secure Two Wins to Districts

POLK – High Plains hosted subdistricts, Tuesday the girls played Osceola. After they won 56-53, they hosted McCool Junction on Thursday. The Lady Storm beat McCool 46-35.HPC 56, Osc 53It was an evenly matched back and forth game. The girls played hard on both sides.

Thelen Pulls Out Last Second Win Against Dawgs

SHELBY– The boys’game was back and forth, and it was anyone’s game. Just when Osceola looked to have it in the bag, Husky Noah Thelen shot a three at the last second and it went in for a Husky 55-54 win! The Husky crowd went wild.
