Kindergarten, Preschool Roundup is April 19

Kindergarten and Preschool Roundup is set for April 19. Incoming kindergarten students are invited to come out between 8:30-10 a.m. at the elementary school in Clarks. The preschool roundup is from 10-11 a.m. at the elementary school.

High Plains FFA Selected for Top Chapter Award at Convention

High Plains FFA members attended the state FFA Convention last week in Lincoln. While they were there the group was honored as one of the top chapters. The convention is also an opportunity for FFA members to network with other people in the Ag world.

National Public Health Week

Children’s Immunization Clinics

The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department, Osceola, NE, on Wednesday, April 12, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. and Monday, April 17, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. An appointment is required.

Speech Teams Return from State Competition

Matt DeMers and Hayden Lavaley brought home some hardware for Osceola at Class D1 Speech State. Lavaley was the champion for Oral Interpretation of Serious Prose and the runner-up for Oral Interpretation of Poetry. DeMers finished 5th in Entertainment Speaking.
