Huskies Cruise to Win Heading into CRC

SHELBY — The Huskies are gearing-up for the CRC. Shelby-Rising City looks to make a little noise this week in the Crossroads Conference Tournament and they used Thursday’s match against McCool Junction as a tune-up ahead of Saturday’s conference tournament.

SRC Earns Third Shutout, Moves to 6-0

SHELBY – Isaac Whitmore scored on a 62-yard touchdown catch, recovered a fumble, and was a key defender for Shelby-Rising City as the Huskies took advantage of multiple Twin River turnovers and earned a 44-0 Homecoming victory over the Titans Friday night that raised their overall mark to 6-0.

Shelby-RC Wins Over Madison

MADISON — If that final whistle wasn’t blown, they would still be scoring touchdowns. No. 7 Shelby-Rising City scored early and often and cruised to a 64-6 win of Madison to stay unbeaten. The Huskies scored on 4-of-5 offensive possessions in the first half.

Husky Golf Competes at Fullerton Invite

The ladies as a team shot their best on the year with 446. Alexis Wetjen, Lillian Wetjen and Lila Weddle all shot personal bests. Alexis Wetjen shot 50 on the front nine and 57 on the back. Lillian shot 54 on the front nine and 59 on the back for a total of 108.

Huskies Put Up Their Third Win

SHELBY – Shelby-Rising City juniors Dalton Pokorney and Collin Vrbka celebrated induction into the National Honor Society last Wednesday for their academic prowess and Pokorney used his smarts two nights later to score a defensive touchdown.

Huskies Triumph Over the Raiders

MEAD – The Huskies traveled to Mead for their first away game. The Huskies put the first points on the board with a touchdown run by Gabe Dutton-Mofford. The two-point conversion failed. The Raiders answered with a touchdown and a two-point conversion to take the lead 8-6.

LILLY PETERSON Lilly led the Lady Cougars with 12 kills, 4 blocks and 2 ace serves in their game against Shelby-Rising City. GABE DUTTON-MOFFORD Gabe scored 5 rushing touchdowns and 225 rushing yards. That is the most in Coach Kubik's tenure at SRC.
