Liberty Baker excelled in volleyball and track during her career. She led the volleyball team in kills, and led the track team with three medals in every meet. She will continue both sports at York University.
Isaiah Zelasney has had quite the athletic career in football, basketball and track.

Lady Huskies Repeat as District Champs

Centennial hosted the Class C-6 district track meet on Thursday. Ten teams participated. Shelby- Rising City became two-time district champions winning for the second year in a row! They brought in 117 points, which was 38 more than the second-place team (Ord).

STROMSBURG — The Cross County track invitational was held on a warm windy Thursday. Nine boys and girls teams participated. The Polk County girls came in second, third and fourth behind Nebraska Christian.

Polk County Girls Shine at Conference Meet

OSCEOLA — The Huskies girls’ track team are now the three-time defending Crossroads Conference Champions.
Shelby-Rising City beat out 12 other teams on their way to the CRC crown, finishing with 141 points. Osceola finished second with 92 1/3 points, Cross County finished fourth with 63 points.

The High Plains boys team finished second with 78 points.

The Shelby-Rising City Girls came away with the trophy at their own invite. They scored 79 points more than the runner up, David City. The Lady Cougars came in fifth, with the Lady Storm ninth and Lady Bulldogs eleventh.
