Huskies Finish 9th at Friend Invite

FRIEND — Shelby-Rising City finished ninth out of 11 teams at the Friend Invite on Tuesday at Friend Country Club.  Heartland won the event with all five members of the team shooting a 99 or better on the course.

Lady Huskies Win at Warrior Invite

FULLERTON — The Shelby-Rising City Lady Huskies won the Fullerton Invitational easily with a score of 184 points. Humphrey St. Francis came in third with 84 points, and the Lady Bulldogs did well coming in third with 81.5 points. A total of ten teams competed on Monday.

Huskies, Storm Hit the Links at Ryan Hill

OSCEOLA — Shelby-Rising City and High Plains were in action on Monday at Ryan Hill Country Club in Osceola. The two teams were taking on Heartland Lutheran and Humphrey/ Lindsay Holy Family for nine holes of afternoon golf. Ethan Fjell and Kole Eickmeier each shot a 53 for the Huskies.

Huskies Hit the Road for Triangular Meet

DAVID CITY — The Huskies boys and girls track traveled to David City for their first outdoor meet of the season. Shelby-Rising City was joined by Aquinas Catholic and David City for the triangular meet. Liberty Baker won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.8.

Husky Track Showing Promise

Shelby-Rising City girls’ track shows promise for the upcoming year. The girls are two-time conference champions and two-time district champions. They will try to make it three this year. Coach Kubik said “it will be tough this year but it is a goal that is within reach.

SRC Golfers Plan For Every Day Improvements

SHELBY— Shelby-Rising City is ready to take a big swing forward this year as the boys golf team tees off another season.

Area teams Compete at Concordia Invite

Concordia Invite (Class C) Prairie Division Shelby-Rising City and Cross County competed in the indoor meet at Concordia during the class C (Prairie Division) Friday late afternoon and evening. Shelby-Rising City girls had a great day, ending up as the runner-up team with 74 points.
