SHELBY — There was snow and ice on the roads outside, but Taya Pinneo was on fire on the basketball court and she had ice in her veins.

SHELBY — Fans may have paid for the full seat, but they were only using the edge of it. Shelby-Rising City won a back-and-forth contest against Nebraska Lutheran on Saturday, holding on for a 39-37 win.

SHELBY — When a player has a hot hand get him the ball. When your opponent gets a hot hand, watch out. Nebraska Lutheran senior Trey Richert torched Shelby-Rising City for a season-high 38 points on Saturday in the Knights 82-51 win.

The Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves headed north to face the Shelby-Rising City Huskies Friday night. The Timberwolves scored with the first basket, followed up with a free throw. Finally after a couple missed shots, Shelby- Rising City got a basket to make it 2-3.
