Huskies Top Rebels in 50-22 Road Win

LOUP CITY — The outcome was never in doubt for Shelby-Rising City as they steam-rolled Arcadia/Loup City in a 50-22 victory Friday night. Logan Lindsley got the Huskies (2-1) in the end zone early and the road team never looked back.

Huskies Edge Bulldogs at Invite

OSCEOLA — Osceola and Shelby-Rising City faced-off Saturday at the Osceola Invite, with the Huskies getting the better of the Bulldogs, 21-25, 25-18, 25-21. The Huskies went 2-1 on the day, getting a win over Palmer, 25-13, 25-12, before dropping 25-19, 25-21 match to Riverside.

Huskies get 2 wins, sweep Parkview Christian, Friend

LINCOLN — Shelby-Rising City volleyball returned home with a pair of wins after sweeping Parkview Christian and Friend on Thursday. The Huskies (5-2) made quick work of Parkview Christian, winning 25-5, 25-15. Later in the evening, Shelby-Rising City defeated Friend 25-20, 25-20.

Huskies improving, finish 7th at Lakeview Invite

COLUMBUS — The Shelby-Rising City girls’ golf team was back in action on Thursday, finishing 7th at the Lakeview Invite at Quail Run, shooting a 486. “Yesterday went much better than last week,” Huskies coach Sara Jensen said.

Panthers fall to No. 7 Bison

CENTRAL CITY — It was a tough night at the office for Blue River on Thursday in a 10-2 loss to Class C No. 7 Central City. The Panthers managed to get just three hits off of Bison ace Jerzie Schindler, who pitched four innings, striking out nine batters.

Huskie volleyball sweeps Tigers, Titans

TEKAMAH — Shelby-Rising City volleyball evened their record at 3-2 on Tuesday when they defeated Tekamah-Herman 2-1 and Twin River 2-1 on the road. The Huskies took the first set 25-19 before the Tigers won the second set 25-17. The Huskies closed out the win with a 25-7 win in the third set.

Panthers Sweep Tigers, Raiders

DAVID CITY — Blue River picked up a pair of home wins on Tuesday. The Panthers (11-3) made quick work of the Raiders, defeating Logan View/ Scribner-Snyder 16-4 in three innings. Danica Watts, Sierra Rhynalds, Meagan Jahde and Rylie Carter all went 2-for-2 from the plate in the first game.

Huskies Enjoy Home Cooking, Get 1st Win

SHELBY — The only thing better than playing in front of the home fans is getting a win in front of the home fans. Shelby-Rising City defeated Mead 28-14 to get their first victory of the year.

Blue River Falls to Lakeview, 9-1

DAVID CITY — The bats were cold in David City on Thursday. Blue River managed just four hits in a 9-1 loss to Lakeview. Rylie Carter went 1-for-2 with an RBI, scoring Meagan Jahde in the first inning to tie the ballgame at 1-1. Jahde would go 2-for-3 on the day.
