Osceola Routs Tigers Again

PALMER – For at least the sixth year in a row, the Lady Bulldogs won over the Lady Tigers, this time in three sets (in best of five), 25-11, 25-11 and 25-20. Thursday’s game was the first official coaching win for head coach Brea Goodenkauf.

CLARKS – With just 14 players dressed for Friday night’s home football game against Nebraska Christian, High Plains needed everyone’s contributions and head coach Greg Wood got it during an encouraging 16-8 opening-night win that even faulty lights and rainy drizzle couldn’t dampen.

DESHLER- The Deshler Dragons running game and their control of the clock made the decision to go for the onside kick for Osceola head coach Luke Ericson a lot easier following their touchdown with 2:47 to play in the game that pulled the Bulldogs to within one score.

FULLERTON — Cross County opened the 2025 volleyball season with a statement win over Fullerton.The Cougars (1-0) went on the attack from the opening serve, cruising to a 25-10, 25-15, 25-9 sweep. Cross County coach Emmie Finkral liked what she saw from her hitters.

SEWARD-The Shelby-RC Huskies golf team traveled to the Tri-County triangular and the Seward Invite last week.Results from Tri-County were not available, but the Huskies placed eighth out of 11 teams at the Bluejays home course in Seward on Friday.

Haylee Sandman’s debut as the new High Plains varsity volleyball head coach was a success as the Storm opened 2025 action with a 25-18, 25-23, 26-24 Crossroads Conference home win against Nebraska Lutheran Tuesday night.

POLK-The High Plains Storm Volleyball team will have to replace more than 50% of the entire statistical output from 2024 due to graduation.High Plains went 21-10 last season and lost in the district finals 3-2 to Exeter-Milligan/ Friend who went on to capture the Class D1 State Runner-up trophy.
