AWANA Concludes 45th Year

STROMSBURG - Wednesday (April 22nd), Stromsburg AWANA club wrapped up it’s 45 year with their annual awards night. In AWANA kids from age Kindergarten to sixth grade study Bible verses and recite them, as well as hear a speaker in counsel time and play games.

Pillen Proclaims National Library Week

Governor Jim Pillen proclaimed April 19-25, 2026 National Library Week in Nebraska on April 21st at the Proclamation signing ceremony at the capitol. He also honored the student winners of the Letters About Literature writing contest with signed award certificates.

Regents approve air transport training facility at UNMC

The University of Nebraska Board of Regents Friday (April 24) approved next steps for constructing an Infectious Diseases Air Transport Training (IDAT) facility on the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Omaha campus, expanding UNMC’s role in national defense preparedness.
