Linda Hope (Johnston) Voss passed away July 8th, 2024 in Stockton, CA.

She was born on November 24, 1946 in Stromsburg, to Viola and Virgil Johnston of Osceola.

She graduated from Osceola High School in 1964.

Linda was married to the love of her life, Tom Voss of Shelby, for 60 wonderful years. They were married on August 16, 1964 and started a TV and appliance repair business in Shelby.

After selling the business, they relocated their family to Stockton, CA, in 1973.

Linda was a loving mother to their children, Travis and Tammy Voss, granddaughter Jennifer and her spouse Dan Reyna, and three great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Greyson, and Madison.

Linda is survived by 3 brothers and spouses: Gary, of Santa Monica, CA; John (Gay) ofAurora, NE; Dale Nancy of Kansas City, MO.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her brother Wayne Johnston, and a niece.

She and her husband made an incredible team, as they set off on many adventures.

She was passionate about traveling with her life partner Tom on yearly cross-country trips visiting 48 states and 8 Canadian provinces. She enjoyed family reunions, sharing family history, taking numerous motorcycle trips, serving, making quilts, knitting, creating family travel photo albums, day trips to the coast and gold country, collecting books and spending time with her great-grandchildren.

She retired after 38 years at JCPenny’s in Stockton, CA, where she worked at various positions from sales supervisor to catalog manager. Her welcoming smile, work-ethics, sense of humor and kindness will be remembered by all. Linda’s unwavering devotion to her loved ones will be dearly missed. She leaves behind many friends and family members in California, Nebraska, Missouri, and Nevada.
