Sharon K. Hopwood

Sharon Kay (Schlesinger) Hopwood, 76, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026 in Grand Junction, Colorado. Sheri was born April 15, 1948 to Laurence and Katherine Schlesinger in Columbus.

Sheri grew up in Shelby where she graduated from Shelby High School. She married Dale Hopwood on October 26, 1968.

Sheri was preceded in death by her parents, Laurence and Katherine Schlesinger.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dale Hopwood; her daughter Lori and husband Joe Hefton; her son Chad and wife Jami Hopwood; her grandchildren Louis Hefton, Grant and wife Chyanne Hefton, Derick and wife Rieley Hefton, Bryce Hopwood, Mckenna Hopwood and Brody Hopwood; great-grandsons Waylon, William and Malak Hefton; her sisters Barbara Duren and Diane Adkins; brother Gary and wife Joan Schesinger and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 9th at 11 AM at the Stillwater Cowboy Church, 968 19th Road, Fruita, CO 81521.
