Rosetta Rosinger

Rosetta Ruth Reisinger was born July 19, 1927 at Aurora, Nebraska, to Cecil and Anna (Reichardt) Carnes and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska on March 6, 2026 at the age of 98.

Rosie grew up in Hamilton County and graduated fromAurora High School in 1945. Following her graduation she taught county school.

Rosie was united in marriage to Oren Reisinger on September 4, 1946 at Aurora, Nebraska. They were married for 63 ½ years until his death in 2010. Four children were born to this union: Linda, Roderick, Ann and Martha Sue “Marty”. Rosie was a stay at home mother while their family was growing up. She was very involved with their children’s school activities, Sunday school, Bible school and 4-H. Rosie worked at First Security, Farmers State Bank, Aurora Coop, Heartland Jewelry, Mo-Nets and Ben Franklin. Her and Oren owned and operated Lake Mary Ranch Camp near Marquette for many years.

Rosie was baptized at the Evangelical United Brethren Church and a member of the United Methodist Church. She was chosen as Mrs. Hamilton County and represented the county in the Mrs. Nebraska contest in 1955. She loved music, dancing, her bridge club, painting and home decorating. Rosie was a member of the Deborah Circle, Hospital Auxiliary, Happy Hour Extension, Saddle Club, Liederkranz and was president of the Aurora Band Parents. Her and Oren were named the KRGI Good Neighbor Award in February of 1977. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Roderick, her parents, brother, Clyde (Maxine) Carnes and sister Verla (Norman) Vanek.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Linda (Allen) Cetak of Ord, Ann (Jan) Joseph of Aurora and Martha Sue “Marty” (Wayne) Brehm of Aurora; 6 grandchildren, Melissa Cetak of Ord, Jason (Melissa) Cetak of Lincoln, Katie Ann ( Brent) Johnson of Duluth, MN, Jill Austin of Valentine, Stuart (Kimberly) Brehm of Stromsburg and Holly (Shad) Salmon of Aurora; 10 grandchildren, Ellie & Caden Cetak, Keller & River Johnson, Colter & Crue Austin, Ethan & Kelsey Brehm and Caitlin & Rylan Salmon. She is also survived by her brother, Dick (Cecilia) Carnes of Central City; many nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
