Doris Doak

Doris Doak, 87, formerly of Columbus, died Saturday January 11, 2025, at Valley View Assisted Living in Fullerton.

Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, in the Stromsburg City Cemetery. Visitation is 1:30-3:30 p.m. Friday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus.

Doris June Doak was born November 27, 1937, in Tulsa, Okla-homa. In 1939, she was adopted by Walt and Hazel Harbour. She grew up in Nebraska and graduated from Stromsburg High School in 1955. She married Marvin Hablitzel on June 20, 1957, in York. To that union brought her 5 children. She later married Marion Doak in 1988 in Grand Island.

Doris’s hobbies included crafts, camping, cooking, spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and her beloved dog, Molly.

She is survived by daughter Jeannette (Richard) Rieken of Clarks, daughter Kris (David Graybill) Girardin of Columbus, daughter Terri (Don) Kostal of Odell, son Mark Hablitzel of Fullerton, sister Maxine Sundberg of Clarks, 2 nephews, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a son Duane Hablitzel of York, great-granddaughter Katlyn Marie Kelley, husband Marion Doak and her parents and grandparents.

McKown Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
