Husky Wrestling Takes 3rd at Lakeview

In team scores, Shelby-Rising City came in third with 159 points behind Columbus Lakeview (182 points) and Raymond Central (175 points).

CCO Wrestling is Small But Mighty

STROMSBURG - Cross County Osceola has nine boys out for wrestling this season. Returning state qualifier is Devin Nuttelman, although he will likely be wrestling at a heavier weight due to growth and working out.

Lady Bulldogs Bring Experience to the Court

OSCEOLA- The Lady Bulldogs have 12 girls out for basketball this season, and only lost two due to graduation. At least nine girls saw action on the court last year, so experience is on the Bulldogs’side.

Can the Bulldogs Repeat?

Last year the Osceola Bulldogs triumphed as conference champs and punched their ticket to the state tournament? Can they do it again this year? That remains to be seen.

D2 District Football Honors Announced

As D2-5 District champion Osceola had six named to the first team, two to second team and five honorable mentions. They were 5-0 in the district. High Plains came in second in the district (4-1) and had five named to the first team, two to the second, and three honorable mention.

Penalties Hurt the Dawg’s Playoff Hopes

OSCEOLA – The Bulldogs faced the BDS Eagles on Thursday afternoon. With a light pole out, the game was scheduled for the daylight. BDS got the ball first. The had an offsides call, but still made progress. An offsides on Osceola also helped the Eagles.

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Osceola Beats High Plains 3-1

POLK - In the regular season finale for both teams, Osceola would travel to Polk last Friday, October 20th to play High Plains. The Lady Storm would win the first set 25-18, but the Lady Bulldogs would take the next three by identical 25-23 scores to win the match three games to one.

Football Playoff Previews

The first round of playoffs has been announced. We are pleased that ALL FOUR Polk County teams made it. The Cross County Cougars (8-0) district champions host Wisner- Pilger (5-3) in Stromsburg at 6 PM on Thursday evening. Cross County comes off an undefeated season with 15 seniors.
