Historical Society Meets in Osceola
The Polk County Historical Society will meet on Tuesday, August 9th at the Osceola Civic Center at 7 p.m. All are welcome. Membership is just $10 a year, or a lifetime membership of $100.

OSCEOLA — The NeFigure8N race series rolled into Polk County last week for the Polk County Fair.
Toby Beckmann won the Open contest. Darren Meinke won the Stock contest. Brian Pribyl won the Compact contest.

Dazzlers Raise Funds with Car Wash

The Osceola Dazzlers held a car wash last week to raise money for uniforms and to defer the cost of various cheerleading expenses. Anyone who wants to support the team can contact the high school to make a donation to the program.

Robert L. “Bob” Blase enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1966. He served from May 1966 to 1970. His training and boot camp was in San Diego, California. He was stationed at Moffet Naval Air Field in Mountain View, California from 1966 to 1968.
