OSCEOLA- It was a pretty quiet week for the SOS Rebels as they had just one game as Sunday’s match-up at Wahoo was lost due to wet fields.On Tuesday night they used a four-run third to erase David City’s 1-0 lead and went on to post the 9-2 win.

DWIGHT – During the past week, the Rebels 14u baseball team split road games, the most recent a 7-4 defeat at the hands of Dwight last Thursday to fall to 5-6 overall.A home game at 7 p.m.

OSCEOLA- Lately the weather has been winning out as last week the Rebels had two games postponed/canceled and this week started with a game on Tuesday against Sutton night being rained out with the Rebels batting in the bottom of the first.

UTICA- One thing we can always rely on in sports for summer content is all-star games.We have already had a boatload of them to this point, but they are far from over as basketball, volleyball and football all-star classics still remain to be played.

STROMSBURG – Morely Warren hit an inside-the-park homer to help ignite a six-run first inning and the Rebels used another six-run frame to make a comeback in beating visiting Wahoo 18-17 last Thursday to move to 4-5 at the halfway point of the season.

Last weekend the World Cup got underway in the United States.We also had the start of the “Greatest Show on Dirt” with the first pitch of the College World Series in Omaha and the NBA season came to an end with the Knicks and Spurs slugging it out on the court.
