Teams Learn Classification

The NSAA released classifications for the 2022 Fall Season on July 20. GIRLS GOLF Shelby-Rising City will compete in Class C. SOFTBALL The Blue River softball team will participate in Class B. The team includes Shelby-Rising City athletes.

Golf for CC Booster Club

The Cross County Booster Club is gearing up for the 17th annual Golf Tournament and Fund-raiser. Two-person teams can sign-up for the July 23 scramble at Ryan Hill Country Club. The cost is $60 per person and lunch is included. Players can have a mulligan for $10 per person.

Junior SOS Rebels Fall to PWG, Wood River to End Season

SILVER CREEK — After starting off with two wins, the Shelby Osceola Stromsburg Post #91 #132 #296 Junior Legion team lost 19-8 to PWG Sunday and needed a victory over Wood River in order to stay alive in the Class C Area 5 tourney held at Silver Creek’s Ralph Jilg Field.

8-Man All-Star Football

Carter Seim and Damon Mickey represented Cross County High School in the the Sertoma 8-Man All-Star game at Adams Central High School in Hastings on the East squad. Seim was named defensive MVP of the game.
