POLK - The Storm faced Meridian Tuesday night in Polk for an exciting 5-set win for the Storm.Wearing pink this month for breast cancer awareness, the Storm struggled to get in their groove the first set. They let go a couple of ace serves to the Mustangs. They caught up 6-6 but fell behind again.

Two plays into last Friday’s contest against Grand Island Central Catholic, Cross County fumbled away an option play and the Crusaders scored their first touchdown the initial time they had the ball.

BEATRICE- This past Thursday the Blue River Panthers had a chance to set themselves up for a chance to play for the B-2 District Softball championship on Friday, but a two-step process lay in front of them to make that happen.

KEARNEY- The third meeting of the season between the Polk County Slammers and the Kearney Catholic Stars was just a carbon copy of their September 16th game a 16-0 Stars win and the game 11 days later in Hastings when KC won the game 11-3.

Osceola Loses to a Tough Jaguar Team

HOWELLS – Osceola lost their second game in a row on the road at Howells, 58-0.The Jaguars kicked off to the Bulldogs. Brycen Kula tried a couple runs but the Jaguars were covering well. Osceola punted it back. The Jaguars scored on their first possession after marching it down.

LAWRENCE- The High Plains Storm went three and out on their first possession Friday night and following a punt it only took the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders two plays to score as they rolled up 28 first quarter points and 32 in the second building a 60-0 halftime lead.

YORK- When I walk into the York City Auditorium on Saturday for the Crossroads Conference Volleyball Tournament, it will be for the 33rd time in the last 38 years. It’s actually 32 of the last 33 years having only missed one year since 1992 and that was to cover another tournament.
