VETERAN MEMORIAL WALL

The Sons of the Legion in Stromsburg are planning to replace the paper roster at the Stromsburg Cemetery that has been behind the glass case near the stand. They have worked on a final draft for the last 18 months with three different ideas.

STROMSBURG LEGACY FUND UPDATE

STROMSBURG - Stromsburg has joined a growing grassroots network of over 250 ambitious communities using philanthropy to create a brighter future.Agroup of local volunteers have launched the Stromsburg Legacy Fund as an affiliated fund of Nebraska Community Foundation (NCF).

STROMSBURG - Each year a group and individual are named “honorary Swedes”. These people have given or served the community.This year the honorary Swedes were U.S. military (past and present) and Judy Rieken.

FESTIVAL KING & QUEEN CROWNED

STROMSBURG - Each year two people are chosen as festival king and queen. These people have served the community in various ways, through their employment and/or volunteerism.This year TimAlvis was chosen as king and Sherri Georges as queen. Both have served as teachers and since retired.
